Cinereal Productions is currently seeking cast members for their upcoming project— The Acey Deucey Club!
Applicants should be well versed in performing in an immersive environment and comfortable with physical theater and improvisation. 

About The Acey Deucey Club

Join the Captain and Crew of the USS Clusterwink as they take the first ever pedestrian submarine cruise in August 1948! Drinks are provided by the Acey Deucey Club on board and live entertainment is provided by the Crew. All is well until the threat of a potential spy on board locks the submarine down until the culprit is found...

Run Dates:

Performances are currently planned to begin on March 30 (subject to change)

Rehearsal Dates:

March 1 - March 29 (subject to change)

Submission Instructions:

To apply, simply fill out the application below. You’ll need a headshot, a separate resume, and a link to a sample of your work, hosted on a third party site. (Youtube, Vimeo, Google Drive, etc.)

Show Schedule:

15 performances per week, with two casts sharing the weekly performance load. (Subject to change)

Pay:

$15/hour for rehearsals (Approx. 50 hours total)

$30/hour for performances (Approx. 20-30 hours per week)

Overtime pay, Unemployment insurance, Workers' compensation, Discrimination and sexual harassment protections

Character Breakdown:

Captain

30+.  F or NB. They are the fun and cheeky leader of the civilian voyage of the USS Clusterwink. They are a qualified, bonafide Captain, however, they understand that this is not a typical "mission" or voyage and leads everyone in the celebration. They are a powerhouse singer and should feel comfortable acting as an emcee. 16 bars (Jazz Standard preferred) will be required to be considered for this role.

Skipper

25-35. M or NB.  They are of the "can-do" sort! Although they are extremely knowledgeable about submarines, they sometimes find their head in the clouds. They are very charming, good natured, and extremely loyal to the Captain. However, the Skipper is also a Russian Operative who has been playing double agent. They have been gathering intelligence in the US for Russia’s benefit. They are a strong singer. 16 bars (Jazz Standard preferred) will be required to be considered for this role.

Starlet

Any age. F, or M/NB in drag. The most famous Hollywood Starlet in 1948 who accidentally winds up on board of the USS Clusterwink's pedestrian cruise and is trying to remain in disguise for their own safety. Drag experience a plus, but not required. Singing experience a plus. 16 bars (Jazz Standard preferred) will be required to be considered for this role.

Band

Any age. F, M, or NB. Currently looking for jazz musicians that can play piano, percussion, upright bass, trumpet. Being able to play multiple instruments is a plus.

Engineers

Any Age. F, M, or NB. Bartenders that are comfortable embracing a character and interacting with guests.
